Message From Our Head

As the new Head of School, I am honoured to welcome you to the Doha International Kindergarten website. I would like to take this opportunity to welcome all new, returning and prospective families, a chance to learn more about who we are.
 
At DIKG, we believe in creating opportunities for children to access a broad and balanced curriculum which allows them to independently explore and grow as unique individuals. We pride ourselves on the care and quality of our teaching staff when delivering teaching and learning through the UK Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) programme. We believe it is important to encourage our students to explore through play-based activities, with hands-on learning, in a safe and secure environment.
 
I have worked within education for almost 20 years, in a variety of countries starting with my home country of Canada; followed by the United Kingdom, Qatar, Hong Kong and I am happy to return to Qatar now. I am passionate that every child deserves an equal opportunity to learn and develop into ‘being all they can be’ through their own individual learning journey.
 
At DIKG, your child will be encouraged to become a lifelong learner, developing skills in critical thinking and effective communication whilst we build their self-confidence and self-belief, allowing them to be resilient in this ever-changing world. We believe it is essential to work together in partnership with our families and communities to give our students every advantage.
