Doha International Kindergarten will endeavor to provide the highest quality of education for all children. The school’s management will work around the philosophy, which entails the notion that a school’s quality of education is only as good as the teachers that provide this education. Quality education at kindergarten level is essential as it provides a stepping stone foundation for the new learners to build on their future learning experiences. The kindergarten shall, therefore, recruit and hire teachers with the best qualifications. Furthermore, to emphasize the management’s belief in an all-rounded learning experience for young learners, the kindergarten will place emphasis on bringing on board those teachers who have extensive experience.

With not only exceptional, passionate and caring teachers and TAs, there is also a wonderful administrative team ensuring the school runs smoothly. We also have a nurse on site during school hours, who not only looks after children not feeling well but is fully involved in the children’s days.

Dr. Carmela Garcia Manas

INCLUSION LEAD/ASSISTANT HEAD OF DOHA INTERNATIONAL KINDERGARTEN

I’m Dr Carmela, the new Assistant Head and Inclusion Lead at DIKG. I bring over 10 years of experience in leadership and education in the UK, and I hold a PhD in Education from the University of Dundee, Scotland. My passion lies in connecting research with practice, ensuring that teaching and learning are both evidence-based and contextually meaningful.

I believe in the importance of a holistic education. Children should be nurtured not only academically, but also emotionally, socially, physically, and creatively. This helps them grow into confident, resilient, and compassionate individuals, ready to thrive in an ever-changing world.

I value the vital role of working in partnership with families, recognising that when school and home come together, children are best supported to flourish.

It is with great excitement that I join the Doha Academy group, and specifically DIKG, where I look forward to contributing my leadership and experience to help our youngest learners thrive and develop a love of learning as I share my own with them.
